February 11th is known as 2-1-1 day, a time to celebrate and promote the services that we provide to the community.
It all starts with a phone call, text message or online chat. Community members reach out to 2-1-1 everyday to be connected with resources, non profits and social services in their area, or nationwide in some cases, that offer help that they are in need of. 2-1-1 maintains a database of these resources to be a reliable one-stop shop for this helpful information. We then follow up with callers to check on their situation after reaching out to 2-1-1, after all not all issues an be addressed or resolved in one phone call.
